About The Position

We're seeking an experienced Mobile Refuse Truck Technician to support our fleet across multiple North Carolina locations. This position is ideal for a self-motivated technician who enjoys variety, works well independently, and takes pride in keeping equipment operating safely and reliably. As a Mobile Technician, you'll be assigned a fully equipped company service truck and dispatched to our operating locations to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and emergency roadside breakdown service.

Requirements

Full set of professional mechanic's tools required.
Strong knowledge of diesel truck repair and diagnostics.
Experience with electrical diagnostics and repair
Experience with hydraulic systems
Experience with pneumatic systems
Experience with brake systems
Experience with wheel-end repairs
Experience with engine diagnostics
Experience with preventative maintenance
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Clean driving record required.

Nice To Haves

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Welding and fabrication experience
Previous experience working on refuse trucks or heavy-duty equipment

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on refuse trucks and related equipment.
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
Complete brake, suspension, steering, and wheel-end repairs.
Perform body and chassis diagnostics and repairs.
Respond to roadside breakdowns and emergency service calls.
Accurately document inspections, repairs, and parts usage using the company's fleet maintenance software.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked company service truck.
Work safely while following all company and OSHA safety procedures.
