About The Position

McCarthy Tire Service is seeking a Full-Time Mobile Press Tech in Wilmington, NC. This role involves operating a tire press, safely operating forklifts, identifying and resolving problems, and performing tire services both in the shop and for customers via a mobile unit. The position requires participation in training, adherence to safety procedures and company policies, and willingness to perform other duties as assigned, which may include occasional travel and overtime.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Experience with heavy duty and commercial tires, particularly tire mounting and dismounting
• Possess a clean driving record
• United States work authorization

Nice To Haves

• High School Degree or GED is preferred but not necessary
• Experience in this exact job is not necessary, will train the correct candidate thoroughly

Responsibilities

• Operate a tire press
• Safely operate a variety of forklifts
• Identify and isolate problems, and quickly work toward resolution
• Perform service in shop (mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires)
• Perform repair work for customers as directed by Manager (both inside and mobile)
• Participate in training
• Follow safety procedures, job duties, and company policies
• Perform any other duties as assigned
• May require occasional travel and overtime
