About The Position

Getlabs is an at-home diagnostics platform that connects healthcare organizations with mobile phlebotomists who collect labs, vitals, and advanced diagnostics from patients. The company’s mission is to expand access to diagnostics and improve patient adherence and care. The Mobile Phlebotomist visits patients at home or in an office, collects and processes specimens, and delivers samples to patient service centers or laboratories. The role requires a high standard of accuracy, empathy, and patient service, along with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-growing environment. The full-time schedule is Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 2 p.m., with daily appointments in San Francisco and driving between appointments.

Requirements

• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency.
• At least one year of phlebotomy experience.
• Experience processing samples.
• Certification from a national agency such as AMT, ASCP, or NCCT.
• A proven track record of exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to drive in the dark, as first appointments may begin as early as 5 a.m.
• Ability to access patients physically, including kneeling, bending, stooping, sitting, and reaching.
• Ability to navigate patients’ homes, including climbing stairs and carrying 15 pounds while walking.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
• Proof of the first COVID-19 vaccine shot within 30 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Mobile phlebotomy experience.
• Fluency in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Visit patients at their homes or offices and drive to and from appointments.
• Drop samples off at patient service centers or laboratories.
• Follow safe and accurate blood collection and specimen-processing procedures.
• Maintain close communication with the operations and patient experience teams during business hours.
• Provide patients with a thoughtful, empathetic, and high-quality experience.
