Mobile Phlebotomist
About The Position
The Mobile Phlebotomist collects blood, receives pre-collected specimens from clients, prepares specimens for transport, transports specimens to a laboratory, and documents tasks according to protocol. The role frequently involves working with elderly or compromised patients and requires respectful, compassionate care. Patients may respond emotionally to blood draws or require more advanced techniques due to their physical condition. The work includes driving a company or personal vehicle over varying distances in different weather and traffic conditions. The successful candidate must function consistently under stress and be highly safety conscious. This is a part-time position scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 6:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., with alternating holidays. Pay is $20.00–$22.50 based on experience, with mileage reimbursement.
Requirements
- Ability to provide respectful, compassionate care to elderly or compromised patients.
- Ability to conduct blood draws, including more advanced techniques when required by a patient's physical condition.
- Ability to drive a company or personal vehicle over varying distances in different weather and traffic conditions.
- Ability to function consistently under stress.
