About The Position

This position involves drawing blood from adult, pediatric, and/or infant patients and processing specimens according to established procedures and techniques. The role requires maintaining awareness of the patient's emotional and physiological condition and reporting any abnormal conditions. The Mobile Phlebotomist will also be responsible for verifying request, patient, and specimen information, following in-process quality control procedures, maintaining related records, and performing other related duties as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Minimum of one (1) year Phlebotomy experience OR Phlebotomy/Medical Assistant education program, required.

Nice To Haves

• Certified in Phlebotomy from a National Organization, preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory computer, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies request, patient and specimen information.
• Draws blood from adult, pediatric and/or infant patients and processes specimens following established procedures and techniques.
• Follows in-process quality control procedures.
• Maintains related records.
• Remains aware of patient emotional/physiological condition and reports abnormal conditions to the proper people.
