About The Position

This position involves drawing blood from adult, pediatric, and/or infant patients and processing specimens according to established procedures and techniques. The role requires maintaining related records, staying aware of patient conditions, and reporting any abnormalities. This is a contract position.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Minimum of one (1) year Phlebotomy experience OR Phlebotomy/Medical Assistant education program, required.

Nice To Haves

• Certified in Phlebotomy from a National Organization, preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory computer, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies request, patient and specimen information.
• Draws blood from adult, pediatric and/or infant patients and processes specimens following established procedures and techniques.
• Follows in-process quality control procedures.
• Maintains related records.
• Remains aware of patient emotional/physiological condition and reports abnormal conditions to the proper people.
• Performs related duties, as required.
