About The Position

Provides mobile phlebotomy and medical-assistant services at clients’ locations in the Hazleton area and surrounding towns in Luzerne County. This is per-diem independent-contractor coverage, paid twice a month on a fee-per-case basis, with a listed range of $25–$50 per exam. Availability is required for 1–2 weekdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and one Saturday morning per month. Additional availability, including afternoons or early evenings, is a plus.

The role includes preparing and processing specimens, documenting health histories and vital signs, obtaining EKGs when needed, and handling appointment scheduling and follow-up paperwork. The company provides training on its EKG equipment.

Requirements

• Professional, responsible, and self-motivated, with excellent attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation, a current driver’s license, and auto insurance.
• Computer with internet access and a printer for printing orders and documents.
• Provide personal BP cuffs (regular and large), a stethoscope, a scale that measures up to 360 pounds, and a metal tape measure.
• Pass a background check and urine drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual ability in Spanish.
• Availability for additional appointments in afternoons or early evenings.

Responsibilities

• Travel to clients’ locations for appointments.
• Call clients and schedule appointments.
• Accurately label specimens and centrifuge specimens, including SST.
• Document health histories and take manual vital signs.
• Obtain EKGs when needed; training on the company’s equipment is provided.
• Scan completed paperwork, complete documentation in the portal, and ship specimens via FedEx.
