Mobile Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant
About The Position
This is a per diem independent contractor position for a Mobile Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant covering Berks County, specifically Morgantown and nearby towns. The role involves traveling to client locations for appointments. The required availability is for 1-2 weekdays from 9 am to 1 pm and one Saturday morning per month. Additional availability for afternoons or early evenings is a plus. Payment is on a fee-per-case basis, disbursed twice a month. Responsibilities include accurately labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, documenting health histories, taking manual vital signs, and obtaining EKGs when needed (training will be provided). The role also involves calling clients, scheduling appointments, centrifuging SST, scanning paperwork, completing tasks in the portal, and preparing specimens for FedEx shipment. Bilingual skills are a plus.
Requirements
- Professional, responsible, and self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
- Reliable transportation
- Current Driver's License & Auto insurance
- Computer with internet access
- Printer to print orders and documents
- Supply own BP cuffs (reg. & large)
- Supply own Stethoscope
- Supply own scale that goes to 400 lbs.
- Supply own metal tape measure
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a drug screen
