Mobile Phlebotomist/Life Insurance Examiner
About The Position
APPS Paramedical is seeking dependable, detail-oriented medical professionals to conduct mobile paramedical examinations, primarily for the life insurance industry, in most areas of Utah. The work is PRN and flexible: examiners schedule their own hours and tell the company when they are available to take cases. Compensation is fixed per completed case. Examinations may include taking health histories and vital signs and obtaining and completing specimens such as blood and urine. ECG tracings may also be required in some areas, as determined by the local office. Examiners must maintain strong, ongoing communication with the branch office about case status.
Requirements
- Current licensure or a certificate of medical training, such as RN, LPN, Med Tech, Medical Assistant, or Paramedic, as required by the state for phlebotomy services.
- At least one year of current phlebotomy experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Own transportation with valid insurance.
- Excellent communication, organization, and technical skills.
- Interpersonal skills to work extensively with clients, management, and office staff, with courtesy, tact, and professionalism.
- Computer, cell phone, and fax capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct mobile paramedical examinations, including health histories and vital signs.
- Obtain and complete specimens, including blood and urine.
- Complete ECG tracings when required in the local area.
- Schedule availability to assist with cases.
- Communicate regularly with the branch office regarding case status.
