About The Position

This is a mobile optometry position covering Hillsborough County, FL, focusing on geriatric care in assisted living facilities. The role involves a high percentage of medical optometry, providing essential eye health services to seniors who may not otherwise have access to care. The position offers flexibility with the option to start with 2-3 days per week and increase to 4-5 days for full-time. Workdays are efficient, typically 3-5 hours, seeing 12-18 patients per day, with an average travel time of up to 1 hour each way. There are no weekends or holidays, and no work is scheduled during the last two weeks of the year. Requirements

• Must be a Certified Optometrist in the State of Florida (or have an active license application in process).
• 1099 Independent Contractor status.
• Must provide your own car, laptop, and phone.
• Clean, valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential eye health services to seniors in assisted living facilities.
• Perform a high percentage of medical optometry.
• Manage a patient load of 12-18 patients per day.
