•$39 - $44•Onsite

About The Position

The Mobile Nurse contributes to Medical Teams International’s mission by delivering high-quality, compassionate nursing care through its Rural Access Mobile Health Program (RAMP). Working collaboratively with Community Health Workers, public health agencies, and community partners, the nurse provides preventive and public health nursing services in underserved rural and frontier communities, helping expand equitable access to care and build trusted community relationships. The role provides direct nursing care, preventive health services, chronic disease screening, point-of-care testing, and pediatric and adult immunizations at mobile health clinics. Care is delivered in accordance with organizational guidelines, standing orders, CDC/ACIP recommendations, Oregon Health Authority requirements, and evidence-based practice. The nurse educates patients, documents care and immunizations in the electronic health record and Oregon’s ALERT Immunization Information System, supports vaccine inventory and cold-chain procedures, and coordinates referrals and follow-up with Community Health Workers and other providers. The nurse participates in outreach events, school-based clinics, health fairs, quality improvement, and staff or student learning. The role may also support emergency and disaster response, including deployment to affected communities and the provision of nursing assessment, triage, first aid, preventive health services, education, and care coordination within scope of practice. This is a safety-sensitive, hourly position requiring a pre-employment drug screen. It is a 40-hour-per-week, grant-funded position initially offered for a fixed term of two years; continuation depends on funding. Frequent regional travel is required, with occasional overnight stays.
