About The Position

This position is part-time. The Mobile Medical Unit Driver is responsible for safely operating mobile medical units, performing vehicle inspections and maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and setting up/tearing down units at various locations. The role also involves cleaning and sanitizing the unit and equipment, and interacting professionally with patients and the public.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Knowledge of mechanics of large vehicles and safety maintenance of vehicles required.
Must maintain an active driver's license.
Must be able to functions effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Must be flexible, reliable and demonstrates sound judgment and initiative.
Must be able to interact with patients/public and team members in a friendly, professional and ethical manner.

Nice To Haves

Two years of experience driving a vehicle at least 35 feet long preferred.
Commercial Drivers License (CDL) preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely drives mobile units/vehicles in accordance with applicable DOT rules and regulations.
Performs Pre/Post trip vehicles inspections and report findings.
Maintains mobile units/vehicles and generators.
Performs maintenance of mobile units/vehicles that includes but not limited to (Changing of A/C filters, septic and water tank levels).
Troubleshoots and resolves mechanical failures.
Schedules preventative maintenance for all vehicles and maintain current log of all maintenances following manufacturer guidelines and ensures mobile units/vehicles run in good working conditions. Schedules repairs of units/vehicles when required.
Set-ups and tears down of mobile units/vehicles at each location in accordance with departmental and/or manufacturers' guidelines.
Set-ups vehicle electronics and medical equipment for clinic when appropriate.
Cleans and sanitizes the unit including all hard surfaces, equipment and contact points after each daily use.
Wears appropriate personal protective equipment to include gloves, face mask or other appropriate equipment when cleaning.
Utilizes EPA-registered disinfectants in accordance with appropriate medical standards for cleaning and disinfection.
Ensures EPA registered disinfectants are used and stored according to label instructions for routine cleaning and disinfection.
May perform additional duties as assigned.
