About The Position

Job Summary: Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of duties for day-to-day operations for the Mobile Medical Unit including reception, registration, and driving Mobile Medical Unit to and from destination for the day and preparing it for events and operation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• valid driver’s license
• Good interpersonal skills
• The ability to deal effectively with other employees and the public.
• 5 years in public service or community outreach and experience with driving and vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for driving the MMU from place of storage/parking to service areas, complying with all motor vehicle codes and regulations. Drives safely and abides by all traffic laws, signs and regulations.
• Prepares and sets up the vehicle for services as well as break down at the end of session.
• Note any maintenance issues for the vehicle and report them to management.
• Maintains log of routine inspections of vehicle, daily, weekly and monthly.
• Maintains cleanliness of the vehicle, including interior and exterior.
• Turns on and off all necessary equipment (water, WIFI, generators, etc.) at the beginning and end of each day.
• Works with city and county municipalities and other entities to secure all necessary traffic & parking permits for the MMU as appropriate.
• Participates in activities and duties related to MMU service, including reception, registration and other duties as assigned.
• Assists with internal and external special events as needed.
