The Health Unit Coordinator provides clerical and system coordination and support for inpatient care areas. This role involves coordinating nursing unit communication and activities with physicians, nursing staff, other departments, professional staff, patients, and families related to patient care. The Health Unit Coordinator is also responsible for managing the desk area of the inpatient unit, facilitating the use of technology, and coordinating downtime procedures.
