About The Position

APPS Paramedical is one of the largest paramedical companies in the United States, offering nationwide coverage as we complete insurance physicals for people applying for life, health, or disability insurance products. The Georgia office for APPS is looking for quality medical professionals to help us complete these exams in a timely, professional manner on behalf of the insurance company through the policy that is being applied. Our independent contractors (ICs) are self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision as they completed quality exams while using their medical know-how. These exams are done on a mobile basis in the home or office of the client and may involve blood draws, medical histories, signatures on packets, vital signs, saliva samples, and 12 lead EKGs. They should be committed to following all compliance policies as well as safety policies and procedures while remaining sensitive to the need for accuracy and confidentiality in the gathering of client information. Depending on the exam requirements, an exam can last anywhere from 15 minutes to a little over an hour.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Familiarity with taking vital signs.
• Familiarity with tablets/computers and scanners is a must.
• Must pass references check, background check, and drug test.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with pediatric and geriatric patients/home health.
• EKG experience is preferred, but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete insurance physicals on a mobile basis in the client's home or office.
• Perform blood draws, take medical histories, vital signs, and saliva samples.
• Administer 12 lead EKGs.
• Ensure accuracy and confidentiality in gathering client information.
• Follow all compliance, safety policies, and procedures.
