About The Position

The Mobile Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all maintenance activities related to mobile equipment and vehicles within the organization. This role ensures that all mobile assets are maintained in optimal working condition to support operational efficiency and safety standards. The supervisor will lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance management to achieve timely and effective repairs. They will also develop and implement maintenance schedules, monitor compliance with safety regulations, and manage maintenance budgets. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime and extending the lifespan of mobile equipment, directly contributing to the organization's productivity and cost control.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical or automotive maintenance preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mobile equipment or vehicle maintenance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems related to mobile equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards applicable to mobile maintenance.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and basic computer applications.
  • Technical skills daily to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
  • Leadership and communication skills are essential for managing and motivating the maintenance team, facilitating training, and coordinating with other departments.
  • Organizational skills are applied to develop maintenance schedules, manage inventory, and maintain detailed records to support operational continuity.
  • Analytical skills help in monitoring maintenance data and budget performance to optimize resource use and reduce costs.
  • Proficiency with maintenance management software enables effective tracking of work orders, compliance, and reporting.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field.
  • Certification in equipment maintenance or fleet management (e.g., ASE certification).
  • Experience with budgeting and inventory management for maintenance operations.
