About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This role involves inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing Heavy Duty trucks and other equipment. You will travel to various remote sites to perform field repairs and preventative maintenance. Accurate documentation of repair processes and supplies used is essential. Occasional welding may also be required.

Requirements

• 3 – 5 years’ experience in Heavy Duty truck applications
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Knowledge of Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems used in heavy duty equipment.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Must have own tools
• Valid driver license
• Ability to use multiple scanning tools for diagnostics.
• Ability to use and interpret technical manuals.
• Ability to work alone.
• CDL (Class B Commercial Driver license)

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a technical certification program for mobile heavy equipment repair
• Mobile mechanic experience
• Supervisory experience

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose Heavy Duty trucks and other equipment.
• Repair and/or replace any defective parts, components, or systems.
• Test equipment once repaired to ensure operation is complete.
• Travel to various remote sites to accomplish field repairs and/or Preventative Maintenance on internal and external trucks.
• Document steps taken throughout the repair process on work orders and list supplies used for the repairs.
• Occasional welding on equipment as needed.
