About The Position

The Mobile Lube Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance services on heavy equipment. This role involves performing preventative service and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to oil changes, checking fluid levels, and replacing filters, on company equipment with little or no direct supervision, either at the Niece location or onsite with customers. The technician will also inspect the engine block and underbody for leaks, consult with mechanics on vehicle issues, check tire pressure, and install/replace car parts like windshield wipers and batteries. Additionally, the role requires efficient and timely preparation and completion of job-related documents such as service reports and work orders, maintaining service vehicle inspection records, and adhering to all safety policies and company procedures, including contamination control and HAZMAT regulations. The technician is expected to maintain all equipment, tools, and vehicles in good working condition, keep the work area organized and safe, and ensure adequate inventory for service needs. Collaboration with the Service Manager and other team members is crucial for efficient communication and exceeding customer expectations. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of automotive service needs and performing necessary service to vehicles, trailers, generators, etc.
  • Ability to adhere to established safety policies and all required local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Skill and ability to use automotive tools and equipment, scan tools, and computer systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain precise standards.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an equivalent role preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and related insurance.
  • Must pass a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventative service and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to oil changes, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, etc., on company equipment as needed, with little or no direct supervision, at the Niece location or onsite with customers.
  • Inspects the engine block and underbody for leaks and potential issues, and consults with mechanics to address vehicle issues.
  • Checking tire pressure to ensure tires are filled to manufacturer specifications.
  • Installing and/or replacing car parts, including but not limited to windshield wipers and batteries, as needed.
  • Prepares and completes all job-related documents, including but not limited to service reports and work orders, efficiently and timely.
  • Maintains service vehicle inspection records.
  • Adheres to all safety policies and company procedures, including but not limited to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
  • Maintains all equipment, tools, and vehicles in good, clean working condition.
  • Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work area.
  • Ensures adequate inventory for service needs, including notifying of inventory reordering needs in a timely manner.
  • Collaborates with the Service Manager and other internal team members to ensure efficient communications and services are consistently delivered to exceed customer expectations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
