About The Position

Miller-Keystone Blood Center is seeking a Collections Specialist Lead (Lead Phlebotomist) to join their team. This role supports the Blood Center by safely collecting blood donations (blood and blood products) from volunteer donors in a compassionate and professional manner. The Lead Staff ensures all staff are following procedures and representing the Blood Center effectively. The anticipated salary starts at $21.28 per hour and is commensurate with experience. Requirements

A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
1 years' experience as a phlebotomist is required.
2 years' experience as a Team Lead in a healthcare setting is required.
Ability to handle difficult situations and persons tactfully and professionally.
Excellent ability to understand and use software relevant to the position.
Ability to solve problems and make decisions, seeking guidance as necessary.
Background checks and drug screenings are required for this position.
An offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of these screenings.

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant Certification or Phlebotomy Certification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Actively plans, prioritizes, sets goals, and establishes staff assignments and communicates shift expectations for staff.
Responsible for all activities, supplies, and equipment required for a successful collection event and ensures events operate safely, smoothly, and efficiently.
Review daily QC for accuracy and completion.
Ensures staff follows all policies and procedures
