About The Position

Miller-Keystone Blood Center is seeking a Part-time Mobile Collections Specialist (Phlebotomist) to join their team. This role supports the Blood Center by collecting blood donations safely from volunteer donors in a compassionate and professional manner. The position is located in Reading, PA, and offers a starting salary of $18.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. Miller-Keystone offers dental and vision benefits, PTO, and tuition reimbursement to part-time employees.

Requirements

A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Ability to effectively interact with diverse people and communicate (verbal, written, and listening) fluently in English.
Proficient with basic computer skills and office tools, such as Microsoft Office, and ability to use software relevant to the position.
Ability to solve problems and make decisions, seeking guidance as necessary.

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant Certification or Phlebotomy Certification is strongly preferred.
6 months' experience in a Blood Center or other Healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
1 year's experience in customer service is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional donor experiences utilizing job experience and knowledge.
Process donors through their donor process (screening and whole blood phlebotomy, and automated collections when appropriate) using all computer systems.
Take personal responsibility for donor safety, complying with all Blood Center standard procedures and other regulatory standards.
Set-up all supplies and equipment, complete daily QC, and assure all equipment and supplies are available before the collection event.
