About The Position

The Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS) is a section within the Division of Health Service Regulation, whose purpose is to enable and assist providers of Emergency Medical Services in the delivery of adequate emergency medical and trauma services for all people of North Carolina and to provide medical care during an emergency or disaster. This mission is achieved through both regulatory oversight and technical assistance to Emergency Medical Services (EMS) systems statewide, ensuring that the systems are in compliance with general statutes and the administrative rules of the NC Medical Care Commission. The Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) Manager will oversee the newly formed Mobile Integrated Health program within the Office of Emergency Medical Services and is expected to support over 40 EMS System based programs across North Carolina. It is expected that the manager’s role will oversee all components of the program to include conducting site visits, coordinating statewide meetings, building program curriculum, creating guidance documents and data collection and analysis. This position coordinates program activities, monitors grant-funded projects, evaluates program performance and outcomes, and supports statewide implementation of MIH initiatives. The position serves as a subject matter resource for EMS agencies, healthcare partners, and community stakeholders related to Mobile Integrated Health programs. Responsibilities include analyzing program data, monitoring performance metrics, assisting with grant administration, developing guidance documents and program resources, and facilitating stakeholder engagement to support the advancement of MIH initiatives. This position is expected to supervise two positions as part of the overall program but does not provide direct patient care. This position will work collaboratively with internal and external partners to ensure program compliance, quality improvement, and effective use of public resources.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and five (5) years of progressively experience related to the area of assignment OR An equivalent combination of training and experience.
