About The Position

Estella Health is providing mobile and other healthcare services to residents and organizations throughout Rhode Island. We are currently seeking a per diem experienced paramedic to support the mobile integrated healthcare program. Under the direction of the Estella Health Leadership and supervisory staff, paramedics (EMTPs) will provide safe and effective medical care at the preventative and acute care level. As a paramedic (EMTP), you will be a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing medical care to patients in a community paramedicine program or admitted in a hospital at home setting. Your primary role will be to provide typical medical care to patients. This position requires a compassionate and skilled paramedic with the ability to work effectively in a home setting.

Requirements

Current motor vehicle operator’s license.
Must live in the state of RI (Warwick and surrounding towns preferred but not required).
Current active EMT-Paramedic license in good standing in Rhode Island.
Two years of skilled paramedic experience.
BLS certification.
ACLS certification.
IV placement experience.
IV Medication administration experience.
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions using the English language.
Satisfactory CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information).

Responsibilities

Provide on-call visits to patients in their homes throughout Rhode Island.
Safely drive a company-issued vehicle.
Provide various medical services such as lab draws, medication reconciliation, basic vital signs, patient assessments, medication administration, obtaining 12 Lead ECG’s, sample collections, COVID/Flu/RSV swabs.
Administer IV medication or hydration.
Document each patient encounter.
Work independently in the community while maintaining open communication with the care team and providers.
