About The Position

Fleet Mobile Maintenance is seeking experienced Trailer Techs for Class 8 vehicles, or technicians proficient in both Trailer and Diesel repair. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial tractors and trailers, both mobile and in-yard. The company utilizes cutting-edge technology to minimize administrative tasks, allowing technicians to focus on repairs. Requirements

  • 5+ years of verified experience in Commercial Tractor and Trailer repair.
  • Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift 100+ pounds.
  • Basic Computer Skills for submitting repairs for billing.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions to complete daily tasks.
  • Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with welding, certification a plus.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical school degree, a plus.
  • Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial tractors and trailers.
  • Write detailed work orders for mobile road calls and in-yard repairs.
  • Provide quality customer service.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on fleet semi-trucks and trailers.
  • Maintain and adjust/replace hubs and axles as required.
  • Inspect, service, and replace tractor and trailer parts, including tires.
  • Check and repair brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Test all systems and equipment for performance issues.
  • Ensure trailers meet U.S. Department of Transportation road safety requirements.
  • Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report findings to management.
  • Respond promptly to client queries.
