About The Position

All Star Rents, a family-owned equipment rental business established in 1962 and operated by the third generation, is seeking a Mobile Field Technician. This full-time hourly position involves performing maintenance and repairs on construction equipment at customer sites and job locations. The role includes the use of a company vehicle and fuel card for work-related travel, with shifts regularly ending at 5:30 pm. A comprehensive 90-day "Bootcamp" training program is provided to ensure technicians are well-versed in servicing equipment and customer relations according to All Star Rents' standards.

Requirements

• 18 years or older with valid proof of eligibility to work in the US.
• Valid CA driver’s license with satisfactory record.
• Ability to lift 50lbs unaided.
• Working in varying indoor/outdoor weather conditions.
• Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment maintenance, preferably in construction equipment.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with MEWP with a strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems.
• Computer Literacy- Typing and understanding computers/technology and basic software.
• Professional communication skills in English both written and verbal.
• A serious attitude towards safety in the workplace.
• Satisfactory Background check.
• Pass 4panel drug screening.

• Be a team player with a positive attitude that likes to have fun at work.

Nice To Haves

• Class A driver's license is a plus.
• MEWP Certifications are a plus.
• Bilingual communication skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance/PM and Aerial quality control inspections on a variety of construction equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and perform repairs at customer sites and job locations.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Ensure service truck is stocked, organized, and maintain a clean work area.
• Provide excellent communication and customer service with customers, locations, and fleet mechanics as needed.
• Display the ability to have strong time management skills while working independently in the field.
• Loading and unloading equipment, making deliveries for customers as needed and assisting with safety regulations.
• Attending and assisting with training as applicable.
• Any tasks, processes, and procedures delegated by supervisor.
• Maintain professional appearance as a representative of All Star Rents.
