About The Position

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator based at its Holland, Texas plant. The role involves operating heavy equipment and working with a team to produce natural aggregates in a mining environment. Operators may work in the quarry or production areas and are expected to follow safety procedures, inspect equipment, communicate with coworkers, and keep equipment and work areas clear. While most equipment has air conditioning, some responsibilities require working outdoors in heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty conditions.

Requirements

Positive, team-based attitude.
Ability to operate at least two pieces of heavy equipment, such as a haul truck, backhoe, front-end loader, dozer, or excavator.
Ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, and climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
Ability to work in varied outdoor environments, including cold, hot, dry, dusty, and rainy conditions.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition.
Operate at least two pieces of mobile equipment, such as a haul truck, farm tractor, water truck, rubber tire backhoe, front loader, dozer, or excavator.
Operate equipment in the quarry or production areas.
Comply with industry safety rules, procedures, and applicable government regulations.
Perform daily pre-shift inspections of equipment and the workplace to maintain equipment performance.
Maintain strong communication with other plant employees and operators.
Clean equipment and clear obstacles from the work environment.
Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
