About The Position

Rinker Materials is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator for its plant in Winter Haven, Florida. The operator will use mobile equipment to move raw materials and finished concrete products within the plant, while following safety requirements and supporting other plant operations as needed. The role involves working outdoors or in an open-air environment and performing physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and ability to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and loaders.
Knowledge of safety practices related to operating heavy machinery.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Ability to work outdoors or in an open-air environment.
Great work ethic and impeccable attendance.

Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.

Responsibilities

Operate mobile equipment such as front-end loaders, forklifts, skid steers, and haul trucks to transport materials within the plant.
Load and unload raw materials, including sand, gravel, and cement, as well as finished concrete products.
Operate equipment safely in accordance with safety guidelines and plant protocols.
Perform routine pre-operation equipment inspections and report maintenance needs or mechanical issues.
Keep work areas clean and organized and comply with housekeeping standards.
Assist with other plant operations, including production and general labor tasks.
Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate material movement and resolve operational issues.
Follow company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
