About The Position
This role involves operating mobile equipment in a foundry environment to support the steel casting process. The operator will be responsible for driving a forklift and bobcat in close quarters, moving hoppers filled with sand, and unloading trucks of material. Additionally, the role includes cleaning up sand around the shakeout area using the bobcat and performing other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Forklift experience
- Bobcat experience
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and protocols for wearing PPE
- Ability to do a combination of sitting and standing for the duration of shift
- Ability to bend, kneel, and squat
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Responsibilities
- Drive forklift and bobcat in close quarters
- Move hoppers filled with sand
- Unload trucks of material to make steel castings
- Clean up sand around shakeout area with the bobcat
- Perform other duties as assigned
