About The Position

Mobile Equipment Operator II Join our team and play a vital role in keeping operations moving safely and efficiently. The Mobile Equipment Operator II is responsible for operating mobile equipment, including knucklebooms, wheel loaders, and front-end loaders, to support material handling, production processes, inventory management, and shipping operations. This position is critical to maintaining the safe and efficient flow of materials throughout the facility while supporting operational, safety, and environmental objectives. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment while operating heavy equipment and supporting day-to-day plant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate mobile equipment, including knucklebooms, wheel loaders, and front-end loaders, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Load, unload, sort, and transport materials throughout the facility.
  • Move materials to and from processing equipment, railroad cars, trucks, treating trams, storage bins, and other designated areas.
  • Operate equipment controls, including levers and pedals, to safely maneuver and position loads.
  • Position forks, lifting platforms, and other lifting devices to safely transport pallets, skids, boxes, products, and materials.
  • Unload and stack materials by raising and lowering lifting devices as required.
  • Assist with moving treatment charges for storage, loading, and unloading operations.
  • Support inventory accuracy by participating in physical inventory counts and related activities.
  • Contribute to efficient plant operations by ensuring materials are available where and when needed.
  • Assist with the maintenance and servicing of mobile equipment, including inspections, fueling, cleaning, and routine upkeep.
  • Monitor equipment condition and document operational concerns or maintenance requirements.
  • Report mechanical issues promptly to support equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Assist with hazardous waste processing, handling, and loading activities in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to the Company's safety program and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned in support of plant operations and business objectives.
  • Employees in the Mobile Equipment Operator II classification will be trained to achieve the qualifications and proficiency required of a Mobile Equipment Operator I, supporting skill development and advancement opportunities within the organization.
