About The Position
Gerdau is seeking a safety-driven Mobile Equipment Operator to support daily yard operations. The role involves operating mobile cranes, magnet cranes, and shears to process and move scrap materials efficiently; loading and unloading trucks and railcars; preparing scrap to specification; and maintaining equipment through inspections and preventive maintenance. The operator is expected to demonstrate teamwork, problem-solving, and a commitment to Gerdau’s safety, environmental, and core values.
Requirements
- High school education or GED is preferred.
- Desire to enhance skills and knowledge and develop as a Gerdau employee.
- Promote and practice Gerdau’s core values.
- Hands-on experience operating mobile cranes, magnet cranes, and shears is described for the role.
