About The Position
OmniSource is seeking a Mobile Equipment Mechanic to repair and maintain electric, diesel, and gasoline mobile equipment. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing various types of mobile equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring equipment safety.
Requirements
- High school diploma or 3 years mobile mechanic experience.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner with attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Reads job order and observes/listens to equipment to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
- Troubleshoot all types of mobile equipment.
- Repair down equipment including but not limited to: Skid-Steers, Forklifts, Loaders, Car Crushers, Balers, Street Sweepers, etc.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance as designated on mobile equipment.
- Examines protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on equipment.
