About The Position

The Mobile Maintenance Mechanic, Fleet Mechanic, position provides skilled mechanical work in the preventive maintenance and repair of owned vehicles and equipment. Responsible for the performance of skilled tasks in the preventative maintenance and mechanical repair of a variety of gasoline and diesel powered vehicles and specialized equipment.

Requirements

  • Must possess good communication skills and legible handwriting
  • 2 years facility maintenance experience and 10-Hour OSHA General Industry safety training preferred
  • GED/HS Diploma preferred – Reworld offers GED Works – a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED
  • Valid Driver’s License with good driving record
  • Considerable knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, terminology and techniques used in the repair and maintenance of equipment and vehicles
  • Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of trade
  • Ability to diagnose defects in equipment and vehicles; adapt available tools and repair parts to specific repair problems
  • Ability to drive various types of vehicles
  • Has a good safety record and demonstrates the ability to follow all facility safety procedures and programs.
  • Ability to complete all Maintenance & Safety Training within prescribed deadlines, which are expected to be met as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, procedures and acting in a safe manner at all times performing safety initiatives by ensuring that all required inspections, training, and documentation are completed
  • Maintains housekeeping in shop area, parking areas and associated grounds; puts tools and equipment away after each use to maintain a safe working environment
  • Wear proper PPE as it pertains to the specific job at hand
  • Willingness to learn new skills and techniques to enhance mechanical abilities
  • Responsible for the performance of skilled tasks in the preventative maintenance and mechanical repair of a variety of gasoline and diesel powered vehicles and specialized equipment
  • Complete maintenance records and log parts used in fleet maintenance software
  • Work alongside Fabrication Shop employees when necessary to complete work in a timely manner
  • Work a minimum of 40 hours weekly on schedule maintenance; work overtime when requested to meet production deadlines
  • Fleet mechanics will share an “On Call” rotation responsibilities after hours and certain weekends throughout the year
  • Attend scheduled safety meetings
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • May have to pick up parts from vendors due to time sensitive repairs
  • Ensures training and updates are kept
  • Perform other work related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by management.
