About The Position

Stefanini Group is hiring a Senior Mobile Engineer in Dearborn, Michigan. The engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and products to meet customer needs, contributing across the software development lifecycle from software architecture and coding through quality testing and deployment. The role includes solving complex problems, selecting appropriate technologies, designing application architecture, defining testing approaches, improving performance, and applying modern software engineering practices. The position may also involve developing back-end applications, APIs, and microservices.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in IT and 8 or more years in development.
• At least 6 years of hands-on software engineering experience in native iOS or Android application development.
• At least 6 years of experience with Swift and the iOS app development ecosystem, or Kotlin and the Android app development ecosystem.
• At least 3 years of mobile frontend application architecture experience, including modular application design, state management, and navigation strategies.
• Experience in two coding languages, or advanced experience in one language; provides guidance.
• Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver software solutions using appropriate tools, languages, frameworks, methodologies, and technologies.
• Assess application or service requirements and determine suitable technology stacks, integration methods, and deployment strategies.
• Create high-level software architecture designs describing application structure, components, and interfaces.
• Define and implement software testing strategies, guidelines, policies, and processes aligned with organizational goals, industry regulations, and best practices.
• Continuously improve performance and optimize applications, and implement technologies that increase development efficiency.
• Apply software engineering practices such as test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
• Develop and maintain back-end applications, including APIs and microservices, using server-side languages.
• Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies and capabilities, and monitor and participate in solutions for new technology-stack layers, often involving industry collaboration.
