About The Position

Workday Mobile is used by millions of people around the globe every month. As an iOS Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, building, and evolving the mobile experiences they rely on. You’ll work across the stack of our iOS codebase - from modern UI and design systems to networking and observability - helping us ship scalable features, improve the reliability and performance of the app, and influence our technical direction. This role is a great fit if you enjoy leading by example, partnering closely with product and design, and mentoring other engineers while still being hands-on with code.

Requirements

3-5 years of professional experience developing production-quality apps for iOS using Swift
3+ years experience with mobile design and architectural patterns
Computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design

Nice To Haves

Deep knowledge of Swift, Objective-C or SwiftUI
Developed one or more apps in the App Store
Passion for design, UI, and UX
Test driven development skills
Experience with Objective-C
Android or mobile web experience
Experience in working with agile methodology

Responsibilities

Apply your Computer Science knowledge and programming skills while collaborating with a fun group of engineers
Lead the development cycle through ownership of features and initiatives, from the conceptual stages all the way through to production
Take ownership of the work you're doing, from active participation with partners, to prioritization and effort estimation, to writing well-tested code
Bring others along with you, as you communicate decisions and challenges, mentor other developers, and consistently help us elevate our standard of excellence
Help us see trends in maintenance issues, proposing wider-scope solutions to ensure we fix problematic spaces once and for all
