About The Position

The Mobile Electronic Technician will install load tracking video monitoring systems, and collision mitigation systems on commercial vehicles throughout the U.S. This position requires frequent travel. This position will also be responsible for installing and troubleshooting our in-house control system on heavy equipment. The Technician is self-directed with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong computer skills
  • Mechanical knowledge
  • Strong electronic and electrical knowledge
  • 2+ years' experience in 12-volt electrical wiring on vehicles
  • 2+ years' experience reading vehicle wiring schematics
  • Experience installing dash cameras
  • Interest in mechanics, working on a variety of tractors in medium and heavy equipment applications
  • Must be able to commit to Revitalize Mixers value statement

  • Possess an understanding of service manuals (paper and on-line) for reference, procedures, wiring schematics and torque specs
  • Proficient in using volt/ohm meter and reading schematics to make proper diagnostics and repair
  • Proficient in building custom wire harnesses with Deutsch connectors
  • Ability to use diagnostic computer or read and clear fault codes and diagnose and make efficient repairs following troubleshooting tress
  • Positive work attitude and ability to work closely with other technicians, drivers, management, and vendors to solve problems efficiently

Responsibilities

  • Travel to specified location (around the USA) to install load tracking, video monitoring systems, collision mitigation systems and/or diagnose issues with systems on commercial vehicles
  • Diagnose issues with electrical systems
  • Run new electrical harnessing throughout heavy equipment
  • Complete work orders, charge parts, charge labor, and other required documents using computer, manuals, parts book, and maintenance codes
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and performance mechanical repairs and adjustments: PTO, hydraulics, emissions, air conditioning/heating, cab, instruments, brakes, frame, steering, suspension, tires, wheels, drive train, electrical system, engine system, and other components which may need repair assistance
  • Drive service vehicle to location of vehicle
  • Drive vehicles within company property
  • Attend all safety required meetings and perform all work as per OSHA, State and Federal guidelines
  • Operate a variety of stationary and portable power tools common to mechanics
  • Sweep, mop, and pick up trash/debris and dispose in dumpster
  • Regular attendance and physical presence at work is an essential function of this position
  • This job may require additional duties not listed above and the employee may be asked to perform those duties to meet business needs
