About The Position

We are currently hiring a Mobile Diesel/Trailer Technician in Laredo, TX who will be responsible for preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostic tests, and repairs on our trucks and trailers, which include equipment by Peterbilt, Kenworth, Freightliners, Utility, and Thermo King. This includes all general and complex repairs. Requirements

Basic Tool set for job functions
3+ years of general heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience
Working knowledge of telematics systems and diagnostic software.
Basic computer skills required
Ability to read and understand operating manuals, service manuals and written instruction
Valid Class C driver's license
Ability to clearly read, write and speak English
Basic math calculations

Nice To Haves

Cummins or Detroit Certifications
Commercial Inspection Certification
10+ years as Diesel Technician
Knowledge of Cummins X15 engine
Knowledge of Detroit DD15 engine
Fleet Mechanic/Technician experience

Responsibilities

Performing scheduled and non-routine repairs to company/contractor fleet equipment to meet DOT standards
Diesel and gas engine diagnostics and repair
Suspension and steering systems diagnostics and repair
Air and hydraulic braking systems diagnostics and repair
Electrical and lighting diagnostics and repair
Preventable Maintenance repairs on Trucks and Trailers
Changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery
Maintaining a clean and neat shop
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
