About The Position

Fleet Mobile Maintenance is seeking talented technicians to join their growing team. They utilize cutting-edge technology to reduce administrative time, allowing technicians to focus more on repairs and less on paperwork. The role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing Class 8 Commercial Tractors and Trailers, primarily at customer locations with some roadside service calls. The company emphasizes quality customer service and adherence to DOT standards.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of verified experience of Commercial Tractor and Trailer repair experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift 100+ pounds.
• Basic Computer Skills to submit repairs for billing.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions to complete daily tasks.
• Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders.
• Must be able to obtain a Chauffer's license.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with welding, certification a plus.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, Technical school degree, a plus.
• Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Class 8 Commercial Tractors and Trailers.
• Prepare detailed and accurate work orders, performing most repairs at customer locations and a smaller portion through roadside service calls.
• Provide quality customer service.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components.
• Perform preventative maintenance measures on fleet semi-trucks and trailers.
• Maintain hubs and axles and adjust or replace them when required.
• Inspect, service, and replace tractor and trailer parts, including tires.
• Check and repair the brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Test all systems and equipment for performance issues.
• Ensure trailers meet U.S. Department of Transportation's road safety requirements.
• Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report all findings to management.
• Respond promptly to client queries.
