About The Position

Fleet Mobile Maintenance is seeking talented diesel technicians to join their growing, family-oriented team. They utilize cutting-edge technology to minimize administrative tasks, allowing technicians to focus more on repairs. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing Class 8 Commercial Tractors and Trailers, primarily at customer locations, with some roadside service calls. Technicians will be responsible for preparing detailed work orders, providing quality customer service, and ensuring all repairs and maintenance meet safety and operational standards.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of verified experience in Commercial Tractor and Trailer repair.
  • Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift 100+ pounds.
  • Basic Computer Skills to submit repairs for billing.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions to complete daily tasks.
  • Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders.
  • Must be able to obtain a Chauffer's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with welding, certification a plus.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Technical school degree, a plus.
  • Class A CDL.
  • Your own tools.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Class 8 Commercial Tractors and Trailers.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate work orders for repairs performed at customer locations and through roadside service calls.
  • Provide quality customer service.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance measures on fleet semi-trucks and trailers.
  • Maintain hubs and axles and adjust or replace them when required.
  • Inspect, service, and replace tractor and trailer parts, including tires.
  • Check and repair brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Test all systems and equipment for performance issues.
  • Ensure trailers meet U.S. Department of Transportation's road safety requirements.
  • Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report findings to management.
  • Respond promptly to client queries.
