About The Position

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform mobile fleet maintenance and repairs on light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles and trailers. The role includes licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance inspections, follow-up repairs, and light mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic diagnostics. More advanced diagnostics and repairs are performed under the supervision of a Senior Mobile Diesel Technician or higher, while the technician continues to build advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills. The position requires compliance with company policies, safety practices, performance standards, and applicable federal regulations. The technician works in a mobile/field environment and manages their daily schedule with a high degree of independence. They use a company-issued service truck, maintain its equipment and parts inventory, document completed work and findings in the company’s TRAIT application, and communicate with customers, management, and support staff. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with 100% travel. The role may be performed remotely in the sense that the technician works from a mobile service vehicle, but they must live in the specified city, state, or region. The position offers a $5,000 new-hire bonus, paid in two installments: 50% after 30 days and 50% after 180 days. The hourly base pay range is $32.31–$48.46, with possible additional commission or incentive compensation. Company-provided items and support include a service truck, tablet, cellphone, uniforms with laundry service where available, technical training, and reimbursement for safety boots and glasses.
