Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, Preventative Maintenance inspections, light and follow-up repairs, and light mechanical/hydraulic/electrical and electronic diagnostics. This role involves performing advanced diagnostics and repairs under supervision, continuing to learn advanced mechanical skills and diagnostic techniques, and complying with all company policies to achieve high performance metrics. The technician will work in a mobile/field environment, performing maintenance and repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing various truck systems, inspecting defective equipment, road testing vehicles, managing parts inventory, maintaining the service vehicle, and interacting with clients to assess needs and resolve issues. The role requires managing concurrent tasks, using various tools and equipment, documenting work performed using a company-issued iOS device and the TRAIT application, and completing all required forms accurately and timely. Technicians are expected to work independently, maintain high productivity, obtain necessary parts from vendors, and communicate with management for approvals and discussions. All work must comply with organizational safety, health, and environmental policies, as well as federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT).
