Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, Preventative Maintenance inspections, light and follow-up repairs, and light mechanical/hydraulic/electrical and electronic diagnostics. This role involves performing more advanced diagnostics and repairs under supervision, continuously learning advanced mechanical skills and diagnostic techniques, and complying with all company policies to achieve high performance metrics. The technician will work in a mobile/field environment, performing maintenance and repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles and trailers. This includes diagnosing and repairing various systems such as electrical, brake, cooling, engine, transmission, and trailer-specific components. The technician will also be responsible for inspecting equipment, road testing vehicles, managing parts inventory, maintaining the company service truck, and documenting all work performed using a company-issued iOS device and proprietary TRAIT application. Effective communication with clients and management is essential, as is the ability to manage concurrent tasks and prioritize work activities. The role requires the use of various tools, including hand tools, precision instruments, Diesel tools, welding equipment, lifts, and jacks. Compliance with organizational safety, health, and environmental policies, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations, is mandatory.
