Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, Preventative Maintenance inspections, light and follow-up repairs, and light mechanical/hydraulic/electrical and electronic diagnostics. This role involves performing more advanced diagnostics and repairs under supervision, continuing to learn advanced mechanical skills and diagnostic techniques, and complying with all company policies to achieve high performance metrics. The technician will work in a mobile/field environment, diagnosing and repairing various truck equipment, inspecting defective equipment, and road testing vehicles. They will manage parts inventory and equipment on their service truck, maintain and operate the company-issued service vehicle, and effectively communicate with clients and customers. The role requires managing concurrent tasks, prioritizing work, and using various tools including Diesel tools and welding equipment. Technicians will document work performed using a company-issued iOS device and the TRAIT application, accurately complete DOT forms, and work independently to manage their daily schedule while maintaining high productivity and adhering to Standard Repair Times. They will also obtain parts from vendors, communicate with management for approvals, and ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
