Mobile Device Management (MDM) Engineer Senior
About The Position
SAIC is seeking a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Mobile Developer (SME) / MDM Engineer to join its team in Sterling, Virginia. The position leads Microsoft Intune administration and engineering and supports comprehensive endpoint management across enterprise environments. The engineer manages mobile and Windows device enrollment, policies, application deployment, compliance, conditional access, provisioning, and patching. The role also maintains Windows Server systems and Windows 11 PC images in Azure and on-premises environments, participates in Agile team practices, and uses software engineering tools for development, testing, ticketing, and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree and 10 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, administration, and MDM engineering; an Associate of Science degree with additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
- Experience maintaining, monitoring, and configuring MDM systems.
- Experience designing and implementing Azure-based security solutions, including Azure Security Center and Azure Sentinel.
- Experience managing Active Directory Security Groups, OUs, DNS, and GPO.
- Experience administering Intune AutoPilot for modern device provisioning and deployment.
- Windows Server administration experience and ability to identify, analyze, and resolve system problems.
- Understanding of Micro Service Architecture.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and receive favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working on an Agile team such as Scrum.
- Master's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Experience constructing and debugging CI/CD build pipelines for mobile targets.
- Understanding of how REST APIs work.
Responsibilities
- Lead Microsoft Intune administration and engineering, including policy creation and management, application deployment, device compliance, and conditional access configurations.
- Use VS Code, GitLab, and Atlassian Suites for ticketing, documentation, software development, and testing.
- Implement and manage Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune and SCCM) for comprehensive endpoint management.
- Manage enterprise device enrollment, policy management, application deployment, compliance enforcement, and conditional access.
- Administer Intune AutoPilot for modern device provisioning and deployment.
- Participate in daily scrums and code reviews.
- Use Azure Automation and Intune to manage and secure cloud-based and on-premises Windows workstations and servers, ensuring they are patched to the correct levels.
- Manage and maintain Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 systems and Windows 11 PC images in Azure and on-premises environments.
- Maintain, monitor, and configure MDM systems.
- Design and implement Azure-based security solutions, including Azure Security Center and Azure Sentinel.
- Manage Active Directory Security Groups, OUs, DNS, and GPO.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve Windows Server system problems.
- Develop unit tests and end-to-end tests.
