About The Position

The Mobile Crisis Supervisor leads the charge, where every day presents a new opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. In this vital supervisory role, you will oversee the operations of our Mobile Rapid Response Crisis Teams (MRRCT), ensuring smooth and effective delivery of immediate support and interventions. Your expertise will guide a team of dedicated professionals as they navigate complex crisis situations, offering assessment, support, and direct interventions under your supervision. This role is pivotal in coordinating crisis response efforts in partnership with emergency responders, developing and refining intervention strategies, and maintaining high standards of care. This person will provide direct supervision, mentorship, and professional development to the team, enhancing their ability to perform under pressure and deliver care with empathy and precision. Collaboration with community partners will be essential to enrich service delivery and improve outcomes, making this role critical in fostering strong community ties and enhancing the overall effectiveness of our crisis interventions.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a counseling-related field (MSW, MS, MA), with a strong emphasis on working with families and community organizations.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience as a clinician 3 or 4 and demonstrated skills in clinical assessment and treatment, along with supervision experience.
  • Proven supervisory and leadership abilities.
  • Skill and experience in working with a wide range of behavioral health disorders
  • Presenting problems and communicating effectively with collateral organizations having contact with the individual and/or the family
  • Early intervention and prevention as well as evidence-based effective treatment.
  • Ability to work well independently is necessary.
  • Mental Health Professional (MHP) designation required.
  • Washington State licensure as LMHC, LICSW, or LMFT highly preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain a WA State Agency Affiliated Counselor credential within the first 60 days of hire.
  • Must have a Washington State driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of community mental health systems and resources within King County is highly desirable.
  • Because of the nature of the target population, experience with ethnic/cultural diversity is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical and administrative supervision of the program, under the direction of the Program Manager.
  • Clinical supervision to team members and interns.
  • Direct comprehensive services to organization clients and contracted organizations.
  • Assisting clients and team members in addressing and stabilizing situations involving behavioral health disorders, through the provision of a full range of clinical services.
  • Serving as a resource for, and providing leadership to, other team members.
  • Assisting in the hiring process, training and supervising clinical team members and interns in the program, under the direction of the Program Manager.
  • Prioritizing and assigning new clients to team members under his/her supervision.
  • Reviewing, monitoring, and ensuring compliance that all required clinical documentation is completed in a thorough and timely manner and per organization standards.
  • Conducting team member performance evaluations in conjunction with the Program Manager, and as per organization standards and timelines.
  • Providing clinical and administrative coverage for the program in the absence of the Program Manager.
  • Providing clinical services to clients, which include but are not limited to: Mental Assessments and evaluations per required level of care; Lethality and risk assessments; Coordinating care with all facets of SOUND; Teaching problem-solving, goal-setting, social skills, communication skills, and money management; and accessing community resources; Providing counseling, individual treatment services and coordination with family, when indicated; Providing crisis intervention services as necessary; Assisting clients to remain stable in the community, thereby reducing the use of hospitals or involuntary treatment services; Inquiring about medication regimens and treatment compliance.
  • Managing the utilization compliance of services and the success of outcome measures.
  • Advocating for clients, coordinating and referring for services with other community agencies.
  • Maintaining working relationships with community and government agencies, other professionals, family members of clients and significant others.
  • Handling client grievances and implementing the client grievance procedure on behalf of the client.
  • Providing consultation/education services to other organizations as appropriate.
  • Maintaining ethical and competent client and professional relationships in the delivery of service.
  • Relating to others in a professional manner, respectful of individual and cultural differences.
  • Assisting with monitoring program revenues and expenses and ensuring compliance with funding requirements such as authorizations, timelines, medical necessity and billing.
  • Attending and participating in management meetings, work groups, organization program audits and accreditation activities as a member of SOUND management team.
  • Complying with all applicable federal, state and county laws and regulations, SOUND policies and procedures and all safety regulations.
  • Performing other duties as needed and/or assigned by the program manager.
  • Understanding recovery concepts in behavioral health.
  • Successfully applying recovery concepts, as appropriate.
  • Synthesizing and demonstrating recovery concepts.
  • Providing direct clinical supervision to team members in the program.
  • Conducting supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Participating in the interviewing, hiring, and training process of new employees.
  • Actively planning, assigning, and directing work responsibilities of the team member.
  • Conducting performance evaluations and attending to rewarding and disciplining employees.
  • Engaging in addressing complaints and resolving problems.
