Mobile Crisis Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) | Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT)
About The Position
Crestwood is seeking a Mobile Crisis Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to provide safe, effective, and compassionate responses to individuals experiencing a mental crisis. This role involves responding to dispatch calls, traveling to various settings to provide crisis intervention services, including assessment and documentation of holds. The position also includes the supervision of a Peer Specialist as part of the Mobile Response Team (MRT). The MRT provides community-based interventions, crisis intervention, de-escalation, and stabilization services throughout Napa County in diverse locations such as residences, parks, shelters, schools, and hospitals, with the goal of connecting individuals with mental health care and resources.
Requirements
- Current licensure in California as an LVN or LPT
- Current CA driver's license.
- Current CPR and first aid certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in mental health nursing preferred.
- Knowledge of DBT, WRAP and psychosocial rehabilitation principles preferred.
Responsibilities
- Respond to calls from dispatch involving a mental health crisis in various settings.
- Travel to the location of the caller and provide crisis intervention services.
- Assess and document holds.
- Supervise the Peer Specialist as part of the Mobile Response Team (MRT).
