About The Position

Riverside Community Care is seeking a Master’s level Clinician to join the Community Behavioral Health Center’s (CBHC) Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) program. The MCI program provides crisis intervention services 24/7, either on-site or mobile, to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges. The program's mission is to rapidly respond, assess effectively, and deliver treatment to promote recovery, ensure safety, and stabilize crises, enabling individuals to receive community-based services or, if necessary, inpatient care. The MCI clinician works within a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, behavioral health clinicians, certified peer specialists, and recovery coaches, to deliver core services such as crisis assessment, intervention, stabilization, and post-stabilization. The role is integral to the daily operations of the MCI component of the CBHC. Primary duties involve telephone triage, crisis intervention (including evaluation, stabilization, referral, and follow-up) both on-site and in the community. The clinician also acts as a liaison between the MCI team and community providers to ensure continuity of care. Orientation to MCI is provided, focusing on diagnosis, safety assessment, and resource awareness based on the level of care. Clinical supervision is offered, including licensure track hours for eligible employees. Riverside also provides an outstanding staff training program with CEUs.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other related human service field
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Intermediate computer fluency, including Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle

Nice To Haves

  • Two years’ experience in the field of mental health preferred (including any internship experience)
  • For providing mobile crisis intervention services to children/youth under 21, at least one year of experience working with children, adolescents and families is preferred (including any internship experience)
  • Knowledge of and experience with substance use and co-occurring disorders preferred
