The Master’s-level Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) Clinician is an integral member of Riverside Community Care’s Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) MCI program. The program provides crisis intervention services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, on-site or in the community, to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges. The MCI’s mission is to respond rapidly, assess effectively, and provide treatment that promotes recovery, ensures safety, and stabilizes crises. The goal is to support people in receiving medically necessary services in the community or, when medically necessary, in an inpatient or 24-hour diversionary level of care. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, nurses, behavioral health clinicians, certified peer specialists, and recovery coaches, the clinician provides crisis assessment, intervention, stabilization, and post-stabilization services. The role includes telephone triage and on-site and community-based crisis evaluation, stabilization, referral, and follow-up. The clinician also liaises with community providers to support continuity of care. Orientation to MCI is provided, with attention to diagnosis, safety assessment, and awareness of resources suited to different levels of care. Clinical supervision, including licensure-track hours for eligible employees, and staff training offering CEUs are available. This is a part-time, eight-hour Sunday first-shift position, scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The listed rate is $36.77 per hour for an unlicensed clinician or $39.40 per hour for an independently licensed clinician. Shift differentials are available: $1 per hour for second-shift evenings, $2 per hour for third-shift overnights, and $1 per hour for weekend shifts.
