About The Position
Rod Baker Ford in Plainfield has an opening for a skilled Automotive Technician to work in their state-of-the-art mobile service unit. This is a customer-facing role requiring off-site diagnostics and repairs. The technician will use dealer DMS and OEM diagnostic tools, maintain the mobile truck's cleanliness and inventory, and pursue OEM training certifications. They will also be responsible for an inspection and upsell process, referring work to the shop that cannot be completed in the field.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems of vehicles
- Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
- Willingness to abide by all safety protocol put in place by employer
- Ability to communicate professionally & effectively with customers
- Automotive Technician: 8 years (Required)
- Driver's License (Required)
Nice To Haves
- Dealership: 2 years or more (Preferred)
- Diesel Repair: 2 years (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Complete off-site diagnostics & repairs
