About The Position

Clive Behavioral Health is a 100-inpatient bed stand-alone mental health hospital. We provide compassionate inpatient and outpatient care for individuals of all ages who struggle with a behavioral health disorder or co-occurring disorders. Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor Degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care.
  • Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in state of Iowa.

Responsibilities

  • Timely processing of inquiry and referral calls.
  • Coordination of all admissions processes.
  • Serve as liaison to metro hospital emergency departments, referral sources, families, payors, physicians, unit and hospital personnel involved with each admission.
  • Verify insurance.
  • Triage patients.
  • Complete assessments.
  • Ability to staff clinical effectively.
  • Enter calls and admissions in computer.
  • Complete all admission paperwork with patient.
  • Effectively communicate with unit staff.
  • Assist patient to unit.
  • Follow hospital’s policies and procedures regarding admissions.
