MLT Medical Lab Technician, PRN
About The Position
Harrison County Hospital is seeking a Certified MTE Medical Technologist or MLT Medical Lab Technician to join our team! This position is PRN, with rotating shifts, and an expected workload of 8-24 hours per week. The role involves specimen collection and processing, test performance, and result reporting to aid in patient diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring. Additionally, the technician will contribute to various laboratory operations, including inventory management, supply ordering, proficiency testing, quality control, competency assessments, procedure development, and performance improvement activities.
Requirements
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist by AMT or ASCP
- Must be qualified to be General Supervisor or testing personnel per CLIA'88
- Adheres to the hospital Corporate Compliance Plan
- Annual PPD
- Annual Fire/Safety Training
- Requires an Associates or Bachelor's degree in a laboratory science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution
- Clinical experience as a component of educational programs
Nice To Haves
- One to three years clinical hospital working experience is desired
