About The Position

Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) is seeking an MLS/MLT I to support Point of Care programs for DLO/INTEGRIS hospital facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, monitoring nursing performance of POC testing platforms, and performing QA measures for POC equipment. The position requires strong computer skills, excellent organizational and communication abilities, and the capacity for independent decision-making. The ideal candidate will have previous lab experience and a broad understanding of Point of Care testing and its governing regulations, or a strong willingness to learn.

Requirements

  • High level of computer skill necessary.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to participate in projects with inter-organizational groups.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Previous lab experience required for solid understanding of basic laboratory testing, including Quality Assurance initiatives.
  • MT/MLS/MLT with a minimum of 1 year of lab experience.
  • MT/MLS/MLT, ASCP w/ BS or Associates in Biological, Chemical, Physical, or Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science.
  • Willing to travel within OKC Metro areas as required to meet business needs of POC service delivery to INTEGRIS hospital and clinical campuses, including travel to INTEGRIS Rural Campus sites within the state of Oklahoma.

Nice To Haves

  • Helpful for the applicant to possess a broad knowledge of testing performed as Point of Care and the regulations governing POC, or a strong desire and ability to learn dynamics unique to POC environments.
  • Point of Care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting Point of Care programs for DLO/INTEGRIS hospital facilities, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor nursing performance of POC testing platforms.
  • Perform POC Equipment QA measures including maintenance, troubleshooting, and validations.
  • Coordinate management of POC computer systems, instrumentation, and reagent supplies.
  • Capable of effective interaction with hospital administrative personnel and nursing staff at multiple clinical campus sites.
